Today the foundation stone was laid for the new rowing slipway constructed in Viljandi by YIT Ehitus. The construction cost of the rowing slipway that is to be completed by the end of year 2008, is 8.2 million kroons.
The Regional Manager of YIT Ehitus in Western Estonia Toomas Rapp says the rowing slipway that is to be completed by the end of the current year will be located at Viljandi beach, next to the rowing club. „YIT Ehitus is the main contractor until full serviceability of the slipway and is responsible for the compilation and handing over of documentation (incl. maintenance and usage manuals) and proper engineering drawings” said Rapp.
“The slipway will significantly improve the training conditions for rowers and the storage conditions for inventory,” said Regional Manager of YIT Ehitus, Toomas Rapp. “There are modern conditions for storing and repairing boats in the new slipway. Also it is easy to launch many boats at the same time from the new pier, including the biggest eight-seat boat.”
AS YIT Ehitus (www.yit.ee) is one of Estonia’s leading construction companies, founded in 1991.
