Extension to Jänesselja kindergarten completed

YIT Ehitus executed the design and construction of Jänesselja kindergarten extension ordered by Sauga Municipal Government in Pärnu County. The cost of the construction works was 16 million EEK.

Sauga Municipal Government ordered the extension because due to the rapid growth in construction of new residential buildings in Sauga and the influx of families with young children means the existing kindergarten was no longer big enough. New 1,000m² building will have rooms for three kindergarten groups, an art classroom, playroom, all necessary auxiliary rooms, and a sports hall. The existing building will remain in the use of the kindergarten and be connected to the new building via a gallery.

The interior design of the new building is very child-friendly. Each group has its own main color: green, orange or yellow. The sports hall is blue. The rooms feature neutral warm colors, with more intense tones used to set apart small wall areas. Materials that have been certified and approved by the Health Protection Board have been used for interior decoration.

The grand opening of the kindergarten will take place after the furniture has been installed, 5th January, 2009.
